Hydro and Eddy Current a tank
Confusion on this subject
Scuba Cylinders get Hydro tested every 5 years and Visuals each year.
Next time you get your tank Hydro tested you may need to also have it Eddy current tested. Eddy Current testing is only for Luxfer Cylinders that were made with the Alum. Alloy 6351 The years 1972-1988 and all Walter Kiddie tanks.
Catalina never used Alum Alloy 6351.
DID YOU KNOW...
Most all scuba shops in Florida will not fill a tank older than 1990
Keep that in mind next time you buy one at a Garage or Flea Market sale. It is just a matter of time before Texas shops do the same.
